Kaino in hot water
DISCIPLINARY UPDATE: Former All Blacks loose forward Jerome Kaino has been cited following his side Toulouse’s win over Bath.
The No.8 is alleged to have struck the Bath Rugby centre, Jamie Roberts with his shoulder in the 39th minute of the match in contravention of Law 9.12. Kaino was shown a yellow card by the referee, Andrew Brace (Ireland), following the incident.
Sam Hillas (England), Chair, Marcello d’Orey (Portugal) and Tony Wheat (England) have been appointed as the independent Disciplinary Committee for the hearing which will take place in Paris on Wednesday, October 17.
Kaino’s teammate Lucas Pointud also find himself facing the disciplinary panel for his headbutt on Bath Rugby prop, Nathan Catt (No 1), in the 50h minute of the same match.
Pam Woodman (Scotland), Chair, John Greenwood (England) and Marcello d’Orey (Portugal) have been appointed as the independent Disciplinary Committee for the hearing which will take place in Paris on Wednesday, October 17.
Meanwhile, Saracens centre, Alex Lozowski could be facing a lengthy ban.
The centre will appear in front of the disciplinary for two complaints following his side’s Champions Cup win over Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun on Sunday.
Regarding the first complaint, Lozowski is alleged to have committed an act of foul play by entering a ruck dangerously in the 15th minute of the match in contravention of Law 9.20.
The second complaint concerns an alleged dangerous tackle by Lozowski on the Glasgow Warriors fullback, Ruaridh Jackson in the 33rd minute of the match in contravention of Law 9.13.
David Martin (Ireland), Chair, Roger Morris (Wales) and Val Toma (Romania) have been appointed as the independent Disciplinary Committee for the hearing which will take place in London on Tuesday.
While, Lyon replacement Manuel Carizza is alleged to have struck the Cardiff Blues flyhalf, Jarrod Evans with his forearm during the side Champions Cup match on Sunday.
