Bradley: We have work to do
Edinburgh coach Michael Bradley has admitted his side have work to do ahead of their trip to Racing Metro in the Heineken Cup this weekend.
The Pool Two leaders fell to a 20-42 home defeat to Ulster in the Pro12 at the weekend and Bradley knows his side need to improve for the crucial tie away in France on Friday.
“It’s was not what we were expecting and not what we were looking for,” he said.
“We have to pick ourselves up off the ground on the basis that it wasn’t a good day for us.
“We’ve two crucial matches coming up and they [Ulster] are in the same position with two critical Heineken Cup matches in the next two weeks.
“So we have work to do in terms of getting our heads right in terms of next week.
“I suppose first of all you have to give credit to Ulster. They played very, very well but we made it far too easy for them.
“We were careless with ball in contact and you cannot do that against quality opposition. We made them look very good. I thought they were very good on the night but we just made it far too easy for them.”
Edinburgh won three of their opening four European ties this season to leave them level on points with Welsh region Cardiff Blues at the helm of Pool Two with two rounds of action remaining.
The Scottish side travel to Racing Metro on Friday, a side they beat in Round Two.
Bradley’s side then welcome London Irish to Murrayfield in their final Pool game as they try to reach the knock-out stage of the Heineken Cup for the first time since 2004.
