Erasmus not blaming yellow card for defeat

A week after Munster handed out a masterclass with their 38-0 whitewash of the Tigers at Thomond Park the Tigers bit back with an 18-16 revenge win.

It leaves Pool Five a tight affair with Glasgow Warriors on 13 points and Munster – with a game in hand – on 11 points while Tigers are still in a position to influence affairs on eight points.

And there were no complaints from Munster Director of Rugby Rassie Erasmus regarding either the result or the late yellow card that saw Simon Zebo kicking his heels in the sin bin for the final minutes.

"That was not the reason we lost the game – we will accept it," said Erasmus told epcrugby.com. "On the day they deserved it – it was a great game of rugby.

"Last week we were 100 percent on our game and they were a little off theirs and if you are a little bit off your game at this level then that is what happens.

"They beat us home and away last year so we always knew this game could go either way."
