Legends' last Euro Cup stand
They have over 150 European appearances, four European Cup winners' medals and nearly 500 tournament points between them.
Now, one of either Jonny Wilkinson or Brian O'Driscoll will bring the curtain down an illustrious club career in Europe when the last whistle is blown in Sunday's Toulon versus Leinster quarterfinal showdown at Stade Félix Mayol.
With both players set to retire at the end of the season, a capacity crowd in Toulon, as well as hundreds of thousands of viewers on television, will have the privilege of seeing the last snatches of brilliance from one of these true legends of the game.
While Wilkinson initially made his mark on the global stage as a World Cup-winner with England, O'Driscoll built on his reputation as one of the game's greatest centres by playing a key role in Leinster's three European Cup successes in 2009, 2011 and 2012.
He dropped a goal in the 2009 victory over Leicester Tigers at Murrayfield, played a key role in the stunning Millennium Stadium comeback against Northampton Saints in 2011, and was again highly influential a year later when Leinster proved too strong for Ulster Rugby in the decider at Twickenham Stadium.
During a stellar European career, O'Driscoll has helped himself to 33 European Cup tries to date, a total which currently leaves him in second place behind the tournament's all-time leading try scorer, Vincent Clerc of Toulouse, on 35.
Wilkinson's move to Toulon in 2009 kick-started his push for European club silverware, however, a year later, he and his teammates experienced the frustration of Challenge Cup final defeat at the hands of Cardiff Blues in Marseille.
In 2012, Toulon once again reached the Challenge Cup decider only to miss out narrowly, this time to French rivals, Biarritz Olympique, but Wilkinson and the glamorous Cote d'Azur club got their just rewards last season with an historic European Cup final triumph over ASM Clermont Auvergne at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.
The metronomic flyhalf was in his element during Toulon's run through the 2013 knockout stage landing 17 out of 17 place kicks in the three matches to bring his points total for the season to 108. Wilkinson is also sitting on top of current European Cup scoring charts with 73 points from his six games so far.
No matter which player bows out of European competition on Sunday, both have made outstanding contributions in their own ways to the game of rugby.
