Lengthy injury lay-off for Bok scrumhalf
NEWS: Sharks and Springbok scrumhalf Jaden Hendrikse has been ruled out of action for approximately 10 weeks.
Hendrikse picked up a shoulder injury when he scored the Sharks’ first try in their 50-35 win over Munster in a Champions Cup Round of 16 clash over the weekend.
The scrumhalf has since undergone surgery, which is a big blow for the Sharks as he is their first-choice scrumhalf.
With Hendrikse out, Grant Williams is in line to wear the No.9 jersey in the Euro quarterfinal against Toulouse in France on Saturday.
The news will also be a blow for the Boks’ preparations as the Rugby Championship begins in early July this year.

Hendrikse was not the only Bok to pick up an injury against Munster.
Springbok lock Ebben Etzebeth didn’t return to the field after half-time and was seen clutching an ice pack.
The Sharks are still waiting for a medical update to determine the extent of his injury.
