Poor pitch halts Stade v Timisoara tie
"After talks with Scottish referee Mike Adamson and the two clubs, Stade Francais staff judged that some parts of the Dan Paltinisanu Stadium were not in good enough condition for the match to go ahead as planned," said a statement from European Professional Club.
No new date was given for the Group Five fixture as the French club bid to stay in the running for the quarterfinals.
* Meanwhile Bath Director of Todd Blackadder was delighted with his side blew away local rivals Bristol with their pace and power.
The 57-22 triumph at Ashton Gate has put Bath on the brink of the quarterfinals – only Pau standing in their way of advancing from Pool Four.
George Ford pulled the strings as Bath scored five tries before the break and three more in the second half to secure a bonus-point win that keeps them in the box seat for a home quarterfinal.
The England flyhalf scored 20 points despite being replaced early in the second-half, as he helped his side recover from three Premiership defeats in a row.
And Blackadder was delighted with the way his men bounced back to show their true colours against their West Country rivals.
"What I was most pleased with was that we didn't lose our confidence, the boys worked harder this week in training then they have all season to make sure that we got our basics right," Blackadder said.
"I was so pleased that we played with pace and tempo especially in the first half.
"We wanted to carry hard and do the basic things like clearing out and ball placement right.
"We knew we could open them up if we could get good speed of ball at the rucks. We saw our power running works, and you can play some good rugby if you get the basics right.
"We couldn't relax too much, we have been in winning positions over the last few weeks and relaxed too much which was our downfall.
"We spoke about it at half-time, being five tries up means nothing. We wanted to put in a performance the players could be proud of."
