Stade do opt for Scot Southwell

Stade Francais have named Scotland fullback Hugo Southwell at scrumhalf, alongside flyhalf Ignacio Mieres, for this weekend’s Heineken Cup clash with Bath in Paris.

The table topping French side have opted for French No.10 Lionel Beauxis at fullback while returning to form centre Mathieu Bastareaud is in the No.13 jersey.

New England EPS member Shontayne Hape will start for Bath, alongside, Wallaby Matt Carrao, while lethal finisher Joe Maddock will be hoping to make the most of some extra space at fullback.

Up front it is an all-England front row for the visitors. David Wilson, Lee Mears, David Flatman will have a big test on their hands up against the experienced trio of Sylvain Marconnet, Dimitri Szarzewski and Rodrigo Roncero but will know how important it is for them to get the upper hand.

Fijian No.10 Nicky Little continues to fill in the flyhalf spot for the injured Butch James with young pivot Ryan Davis on the bench.
