Stoddart free to play

Scarlets wing Morgan Stoddart will face no further punishment after he was issued a red card during Saturday’s European Cup match against Clermont.

Stoddart was cited after being shown a red card by referee Peter Fitzgibbon (Ireland) in the 37th minute of the match after he had received two yellow cards.

At his disciplinary hearing, independent Judicial Officer Antony Davies considered the matter by means of written submissions and concluded that neither offence involved foul play directed at an opponent and that no additional sanction was necessary.
