Toulouse pay dear price for big win

French champions Toulouse face an anxious wait to find out how long they might lose All Black flyhalf Luke McAlister and France centre Florian Fritz because of injuries picked up in Saturday's 30-14 European Cup win over Ospreys.

McAlister had to go off in the 63rd minute of the match with what general manager Guy Noves termed a suspected 'muscle tear' while Fritz will undergo scans to learn how long he will be out of action after he sprained his right ankle.

The 28-year-old was forced to go off shortly after he had scored the hosts second try in the first-half.

Noves will hope he will not be deprived of the duo for long as he has three backs out injured, fullback Clement Poitrenaud, and wings Timoci Matanavou and Yves Donguy.
