Pollard returns after lengthy injury layoff
INJURY UPDATE: South Africa’s World Cup winner Handre Pollard has been named on the bench for Montpellier’s European Challenge Cup clash against Bath this Saturday.
Pollard, who has been sidelined for almost seven months, will don the No.22 jersey during the semifinal clash against Bath.
Joining the 27-year-old on the bench are fellow Springboks Bismarck Du Plessis and Cobus Reinach.
Pollard last played for the Springboks in the 2019 World Cup Final, has been out since September with a serious knee injury after making just two appearances this season.
Pollard ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Montpellier in a French Top 14 clash against Racing 92.
