SA teams learn their Euro pool opponents
POOL DRAWS: The Sharks have been drawn in the same pool as Stade Toulousain for the 2024/2025 Champions Cup season.
John Plumtree’s side qualified for the tournament after winning last season’s Challenge Cup.
Stade Toulousain are the current European champions after they beat Leinster in last season’s Champions Cup Final.
Joining the Sharks and Toulouse in Pool One are Union Bordeaux Bègles, Exeter Chiefs, Leicester Tigers and Ulster.
The Bulls have been drawn in Pool Three with Northampton Saints, Munster, Stade Français Paris, Saracens, and Castres Olympique.
Meanwhile, the Stormers are in Pool Four with Glasgow Warriors, Racing 92, Sale Sharks, RC Toulon and Harlequins.
There will be no matches between teams from the same league in the Champions Cup.
Each team will play four matches against four different teams, who are not from the same league, either home or away.
*In the Challenge Cup, the Lions are in Pool Two with Montpellier, Section Paloise, Newcastle Falcons, Dragons and Ospreys.
Meanwhile, the Cheetahs, who received another invitation, have been drawn in Pool One with Cardiff, Connacht, USAP, Lyon Olympique Universitaire and Zebre Parma.
