Centre Rory Scannell will undergo surgery next week after suffering an ankle injury against Ulster in the final round.

Lock Tom Ahern suffered an ankle/lower leg injury in that same match and he was set to go for a scan on Monday. However, he is unavailable for the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Joey Carbery suffered a thumb injury versus Ulster and he will also be unavailable for selection.

The good news on the injury front is that Diarmuid Barron (foot), Josh Wycherley (face) and Antoine Frisch (leg/groin) all return to training this week.

The players that will be continuing their rehab are Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder), Roman Salanoa (knee), Jean Kleyn (knee/eye), Paddy Patterson (knee), Patrick Campbell (shoulder) and Alex Nankivell (ankle).
