Bath get a Knight

26-year-old Knight joins from Newport Gwent Dragons, where he made over 20 appearances in the PRO12 last season. Prior to that, he had made nearly 80 appearances for Gloucester Rugby, following in his father’s footsteps in pulling on the cherry-and-white shirt.

Earlier in his career, he was a member of England’s Junior World Cup squad in 2009 and 2010, and experienced playing in the Southern Hemisphere with New Zealand’s Counties Manukau as part of their National Provincial Championship squad.

First team coach, Toby Booth, said: "Shaun is a very strong scrummager, and we’re excited to see how he continues to develop now that he’s with us. We’ve got some very good props within the squad, and Shaun Knight adds to that strength in depth and competition for places,"

While Bath also confirmed versatile centre Robbie Freuan will join the club in October following the end of the National Provincial Championship in New Zealand.
