NEWS: The winners of the 2023 Premiership Rugby Awards were announced last night with Bath Rugby’s Ollie Lawrence revealed as the Premiership Player of the Season.
The 23-year-old Lawrence joined Bath Rugby in October 2022 originally as short-term injury dispensation cover before committing his long-term future to the club.
The centre started his career in the Worcester Warriors Academy aged 14 and rose through the ranks, debuting for the first team in 2017 with a try in the Anglo-Welsh Cup against Sale Sharks.
He was first called up to the senior squad in the summer of 2018 ahead of the summer tour to South Africa.
Lawrence, a line-breaking midfielder, was called up again by Eddie Jones ahead of the autumn games in 2020. In 2023, Lawrence was called up to the squad for the 2023 Six Nations.
Lawrence’s first international try came in the summer of 2021 against USA.
