Bath pile more misery on Welsh

Semesa Rokoduguni and Jonathan Joseph helped themselves to try doubles as Bath Rugby made it two wins from two this Premiership Rugby season with a 53-26 victory over London Welsh at The Rec.

Bath once again got off to a fast start as Chris Cook touched down moments after kick-off, and further tries from Leroy Houston, Carl Fearns and one in each half for both Rokoduguni and Joseph saw Bath pick up all five points as their ran in seven tries in their first home game of the campaign.

However London Welsh gave a good account of themselves and not only put points on the scoreboard for the first time this season but also pick up their first point of the campaign as Peter Browne, Seb Stegmann, Seb Jewell and Lachlan McCaffrey all crossed the whitewash.

Meanwhile, Jonny May inspired a second-half comeback as Gloucester Rugby saw off Sale Sharks 34-27 at Kingsholm to collect their first win of the  Premiership Rugby campaign.

Tom Arscott got Sale off to a flyer before an on-song Danny Cipriani had a hand in laying on further tries for Chris Cusiter and Luke McLean.

Greig Laidlaw's boot kept Gloucester in touch before May touched down to draw them level and then set up Cook to put the Cherry & Whites ahead for the first time.

A penalty try secured the result and while a bonus points proved elusive for Gloucester, Cipriani grabbed one for Sale with the visitors' fourth try.

Additionally, Leicester Tigers came from behind to defeat Exeter Chiefs 24-20 at Sandy Park, England scrum-half Ben Youngs scoring the winner.

The Chiefs dominated for large parts, but the Tigers kept their cool to record their second victory of the season.

Exeter dominated early on, and capitalised on the sin binning of Vereniki Goneva to take the lead.

Dave Ewers' stretched out to score despite the attention of several Tigers' defenders.

The lead was no less then they deserved, but the home side allowed Leicester to get back into the game.
