Bath sign SA fullback

TRANSFER NEWS: Bath have bolstered their backline stocks with a South African.

On Saturday, the Premiership club confirmed that they have signed former Jersey Reds fullback Brendan Owen on a short-term contract with immediate effect.

The 27-year-old South African was a free agent after the Reds ceased trading in September.

Owen previously played for the Boland Cavaliers in South Africa.

He also played for San Dona in Italy and the Western Force and Perth Spirit in Australia.
