Bok extends his stay in Bath

Springbok flank Francois Louw has decided to extend his stay with English Premiership outfit Bath.

The club revealed on Saturday that the 26-year-old loose forward signed a new long-term deal with the club.

Louw, a current member of the South African starting team with 19 caps, joined Bath in 2011 and instantly showed his quality with a string of Man of the Match performances.

He's gone on to become a key performer in the Blue, Black and White since, including scoring the memorable match-winning try at the end of last season against Leicester Tigers at the Rec.

Having become one of world's premier back row players, he was a player in great demand, so the club said they were delighted he chose to stay in the West Country and commit himself to helping push Bath forward.

Speaking of Louw's new deal, Bath Director of Rugby Gary Gold said: "Flo is truly a world class player, and the fact that he was so keen to stay with us says great things about what we are working to create here [in Bath].

"He could have chosen his club, and he chose to stay with us. We are delighted to have him on board."

Louw himself added: "I love playing at Bath and absolutely believe in where we're going, so signing a new deal was a no-brainer for me.

"I'm just happy it's all sorted so I can get back to work."
