According to The Rugby Paper, Marvin Orie has turned down a move to Welford Road to join Leicester.

Orie apparently caught the eye of Leicester management during a short-term loan with Ospreys.

The 27-year-old joined the Welsh side as a “medical joker” in October before returning in time for the Lions’ Super Rugby preparations.

It is believed Orie will instead be head to Japan to play in the Japanese Top League.

Orie has three Test caps. He made his debut against Wales in Washington DC in 2018.

His last Test came against Argentina in Pretoria last year.
