Brew, who has won nine caps for Wales, spent two seasons with French side Biarritz in between three successful spells with Newport Gwent Dragons, where he amassed over 200 points for the Welsh side.

On pledging his future to Bath Rugby, a delighted Brew said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Bath over the last few months and have settled in really well, so I’m really happy to be staying for at least another season and a half.

"I’ve really enjoyed getting a good run of games under my belt – it’s a great squad to be part of and we’re looking forward to pushing on over the coming months,"

Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder, added: "We are delighted to have extended Aled [Brew’s] contract with the club. He has bought so much to the team on and off the field since his arrival and will continue to form an integral part of the squad over the next couple of seasons,"
