Comacho 'speared' for three weeks

Gonzalo Comacho of Exeter Chiefs has been suspended for three weeks for a spear tackle, following a Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing.

Comacho had been cited for a dangerous tackle on Worcester Warriors’ Alex Grove during the Premiership match at Sixways on April 14.

The panel, chaired by Rick Charles with John Doubleday and Dan White, amended the charge to Law 10 (4)(J) and Comacho was charged and found guilty of a pick-up/tip-tackle.

Comacho, who pleaded guilty, is free to play again on May 16.
