De Kock 'excited' for Province clash

Former Western Province scrumhalf Neil de Kock is relishing the prospect of facing his former side at Allianz Park next month.

De Kock spent six-and-a-half successful seasons at Western Province, and the experienced Saracens man is looking forward to facing the reigning Currie Cup champions at Allianz Park on Sunday, November 9.

"It’s exciting to be playing against the South African sides once again," said De Kock, who has been capped 10 times by the Springboks.

"Personally, I think it's a wonderful fixture, as I haven't played in South Africa for eight or nine years, so it will be a great challenge.

"I had six-and-a-half brilliant years at Western Province, it's a place that is very close to my heart. Hopefully, we will be able to give them a good test and a good run at Allianz Park. Last year's game against the Sharks was a great occasion."

Western Province will follow in the foot steps of the Sharks who travelled to London as part of their preparation for the Super Rugby campaign.

However, in that instance it was the Londoners that came out on top, securing a 23-15 victory.
