Five up for Community award
Five players who have made an outstanding contribution to the community have been shortlisted for the prestigious Community Player of the Season award.
The players are Exeter Chiefs’ Myles Dorrian, London Wasps’ Tinus du Plessis, Northampton Saints’ Soane Tong’uiha, Saracens’ Jamie George and Worcester Warriors’ Shaun Perry.
The quintet will discover who has won at the sold out Premiership Rugby Awards on May 9 at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
They have made the shortlist after contributing to a number of local and national projects, going above and beyond the call of duty, supporting a variety of causes.
"We see 600 role models from our clubs operating every season and these five have produced an exceptional season to make it on to this shortlist," said Premiership Rugby's Head of Community, Wayne Morris.
"We are very proud of our Community Programme and of the efforts from these five players. Picking the winner will be very difficult as they have all produced compelling cases to win."
