Kitchener extends his stay at Tigers

England second row Graham Kitchener has signed a new contract at Leicester Tigers that will see him into his fifth season at Welford Road.

the 25-year-old is in his fourth season at Welford Road and has already passed 70 appearances for the club since his arrival from Worcester Warriors in 2011.

He has also gained international recognition with England Saxons and earned a call-up to the senior national squad.

Tigers Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill said: "Kitch has established himself as a key part of a very good group of second row forwards in his four seasons here.

"As well as developing his individual skills, he has taken on more responsibility within the squad and we want to see him continue to grow as part of a group of young leaders here.

"He has been a very consistent performer for us in big matches in the Premiership and in Europe, and we believe he can get better and better here."

Kitchener has started 14 games this season and was a try-scorer for Tigers in the Premiership Final triumph in 2013 after ending his first season at the club with an appearance in the 2012 Final at Twickenham.
