Lawson leaving Gloucester

Scotland hooker Scott Lawson is to leave Premiership side Gloucester at the end of this season, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

Lawson, a veteran of two World Cups and a member of the current Scotland Six Nations squad, has spent four seasons at Kingsholm since joining in 2008.

“Scott has always given nothing less than his best for Gloucester during his time with us,” Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath said.

“He will go with our best wishes, and we wish him well for the future.”

It is not known where Lawson will play next season but the 30-year-old front row stalwart has been linked with a return north of the border to either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
