Ma'afu's misdemeanours scrutinized

Northampton Saints prop Salesi Ma’afu will face an RFU disciplinary panel after totting up three foul play yellow cards/level one citings this season.

The former Wallaby prop has had his disciplinary issues in the past and is not a stranger to yellow cards and citings.

One of his more recent indiscretions was a brutal set of blows that laid out to Tom Youngs early last year which saw him banned for one week after getting red-carded.

In 2011 while with the Brumbies Ma'afu also dealt out another blow, this time to Wallabies teammate Quade Cooper of the Reds.

Ma’afu’s case will be dealt with on the papers only by agreement with the club on Wednesday, before a panel comprising of Sean Enright (chairman), Tony Wheat and Alex Nock.
