Mixed news for Sharks
The Sale Sharks received good and bad news regarding forwards Andy Powell and Tom Brady, who were cited after Saturday’s clash with Bath.
Powell pleaded guilty to a charge of conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Union or the Game contrary to RFU Rule 5.12. in mouthing foul language and making an offensive hand gesture to spectators. The Welsh international was fined £5,000 (US$6,460), £4,000 US$5,169) (suspended until May 30, 2013) but can play again immediately.
Brady , who was charged with an alleged dangerous tackle following a report from RFU citing officer John Byett, was found guilty of the offence. He was suspended for two weeks and can play again on October 16, 2012.
The Panel was chaired by Antony Davies and comprised John Loughton and Austin Newman.
