Quins confirm US tour
Arriving in California on Saturday (July 30), they will spend the week training at the San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club, departing back to the UK on Sunday, August 7th.
The tour, organised as part of Harlequins' strategic partnership with USA Rugby, will allow the players and coaches, led by Academy and Global Development Director, Tony Diprose, to activate and engage with the local community, while helping to expand the sport in the USA and North California.
"We are incredibly excited about travelling to San Francisco later this week. This trip provides the squad with the ability to prepare for our 150th season in a completely new environment," said Diprose.
"Most importantly though, it provides Harlequins the platform to expand its name, and the game of rugby, to a captive audience which we hope will grow participation and awareness in sport’s biggest market."
