Tait remains a Tiger
Leicester Tigers have announced that fullback Mathew Tait has agreed a new contract at the club.
An international while still a teenager and part of the England team in the 2007 World Cup Final, Tait joined Tigers from Sale Sharks in 2011 and has made 70 appearances for the club, winning the Premiership title in 2012/13.
Tait, 29, made 28 first-team appearances for Tigers in the 2014/15 season and ended the campaign with an appearance in the England XV side that beat the Barbarians at Twickenham.
Tigers Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill said: "Matt [Tait] has enjoyed one of the most consistent seasons of his career and we're delighted that he has agreed terms on a new contract here.
"He has played at the very highest levels of the game and has a lot of experience for a player still in his 20s. We look forward to his continued input as part of the senior core of the Leicester squad."
