Tigers pinch lock forward

Lock forward Dominic Barrow has agreed a move to Leicester Tigers from Premiership rivals Newcastle Falcons ahead of the 2015/16 season.

The 22-year-old Barrow is a former captain of England Under-16 and Under-18, and an Under-20 World Cup winner with England Under-20 in 2013.

A graduate of the Leeds academy, he made his senior debut as a 17-year-old there before moving to Newcastle Falcons in 2013 and went on to make 26 appearances for the Kingston Park club.

Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: "We're delighted to be able to add Dom [Barrow] to the squad for next season.

"He is a big, athletic second row who has already gained Premiership experience and we think he can only improve working with a very good group of locks here including Graham Kitchener, Ed Slater, Sebastian De Chaves and our new signings Mike Fitzgerald and Mike Williams."

Bird adds to the Tigers already new additions of Greg Bateman, Peter Betham, Fitzgerald, Opeti Fonua, Jon Kitto, Lachlan McCaffrey, Brendon O'Connor and Williams to the playing squad for 2015/16.
