Van Velze set for hearing

Northampton Saints ace Gerrit-Jan van Velze will appear at an RFU disciplinary hearing on Tuesday after being cited for an alleged tip tackle.

The former Blue Bulls loose forward was cited for a dangerous tackle on Exeter Chiefs scrumhalf Will Chudley in Sunday's Aviva Premiership match and was charged following a report by the independent citing officer Micky Ward.

The case will be heard by a panel of John Brennan (chair), Dan White and John Loughton at the Holiday Inn Coventry M6 Jct 2 Hotel at 7.30pm on Tuesday.
