Wasps lure US Eagle into their nest

London Wasps have signed United States international back Paul Emerick as injury cover for the remainder of the season.

The experienced Eagles star, who has 47 caps and three World Cups under his belt, has previously played in Europe for Ulster, Parma and the Newport Gwent Dragons and can cover at centre or wing.

Emerick joins a Wasps squad hit significantly by injury in recent weeks, and provides much needed cover out wide with the likes of Tom Varndell and Christian Wade currently on the side-lines.

He will link up with the squad in mid-week.

Emerick becomes the seventh player that the Club has brought in in recent weeks as Dai Young has sought to strengthen his squad in the face of a number of injuries.
