Jack Willis opened the scoring with an intercept try on six minutes before Dan Robson slotted a drop goal and then Josh Bassett and Jacob Umaga crossed either side of the half hour mark to extend Wasps’ lead to 22-0.

Gloucester hit back in superb style as Tom Marshall and Ollie Thorley went over only for Wasps to score another try with Nizaam Carr dotting down on the stroke of half-time with Jimmy Gopperth’s third successful conversion making it 29-10.

The visitors struck first at the start of the second period as Billy Twelvetrees went in under the posts before Malakai Fekitoa scored Wasps’ fifth try.

Lloyd Evans bagged Gloucester’s bonus-point score on 59 minutes but a Gopperth penalty put the seal on a third successive Premiership victory for Wasps.
