Williams buries bloodgate shame
Tom Williams finally buried the Bloodgate scandal on Saturday when he scored one of Harlequins' two tries in the 30-23 Premiership final triumph over Leicester at Twickenham.
Winger Williams scored in the 10th minute after being teed up by Danny Care to set Quins on their way to a first national title.
His moment of joy came three years after Bloodgate which resulted in the departure of the then Quins boss Dean Richards.
"That was the lowest point of my career but this is the highest. I am just concerned with now and the future," said Williams.
"The blood thing is history. Dead and buried. I have moved on and winning the title with Quins is a real dream. They don't come much better than this experience."
