Rae links up with Wasps
London Wasps have added 27- year-old second row Alex Rae to the squad this week, providing some depth at lock.
Rae, formerly of Northampton Saints and Saracens, and most recently of Bedford, linked up with the squad this week and may play some part in this weekend’s return to Premiership action when the squad face Harlequins at the Stoop.
With Tom Palmer on the sidelines through injury and Joe Launchbury away with England for the Six Nations period, Rae adds some much needed support for Wasps at lock ahead of a tough run of games heading towards the end of the season.
London Wasps Director of Rugby Dai Young said: “Alex has joined up with the squad this week and will provide some options in the second row.
“We have never had the biggest squad, and with Tom Palmer out injured and Joe Launchbury away with England, we have moved quickly to bring somebody else in. Alex has some good experience and I am sure that he will prove to be a very useful addition.”
