Two Bok assistants merge forces

A former Springbok assistant coach himself, Alan Solomons has joined the Premiership on a short-term deal.

With Gold heading to the United States to take up the role as head coach at the end of the 2017/18 season, the new recruit could soon be named head coach of Worcester Warriors. Two Bok assistants merge forces

Solomons has amassed a wealth of coaching experience over the last 20 years, overseeing clubs including Ulster Rugby, Southern Kings and Edinburgh Rugby.

Warriors Director of Rugby Gary Gold, who has to help the club identify a successor to carry on the work he has done since the start of 2017 revealed that he is delighted with the appointment. 

"We are delighted to welcome Alan to the club as he is someone who possesses huge experience after two decades at the top of the game.

"He will become an important member of the backroom set-up and the knowledge he will pass on to players will be invaluable as we look to get positive results on the pitch,"
