Cheetahs gear up for Italian job

PRO14 NEWS: The Cheetahs named a powerful squad for their first match of 2020.

The Cheetahs will be travelling to Italy in two groups on Tuesday and Wednesday.

They will be taking on Zebre at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi in Parma on Saturday, December 4.

The matchday squad will be named on Friday.

The two teams have met four times previously, with the Cheetahs having won on each occasion.

The Cheetahs have scored 24 tries in those four outings, to the 13 of Zebre.

Cheetahs squad: Boan Venter, Wilmar Arnoldi, Aranos Coetzee, Sintu Manjezi, Walt Steenkamp, Chris Massyn, Junior Pokomela, Aidon Davis, Tian Meyer, George Whitehead, Rabz Maxwane, Benhard Janse van Rensburg, William Small-Smith, Craig Barry, Rhyno Smith, Erich de Jager, Joseph Dweba, Luan de Bruin, JP du Preez, Marnus van der Merwe, Gerhard Olivier, Reinach Venter, Ruan Pienaar, Tian Schoeman and Clayton Blommetjies.
