Lam not getting carried away
Matt Healy helped himself to a hat-trick while fellow wing Niyi Adeolokun grabbed two scores and scrum-half Kieran Marmion completed the scoring in a 51-34 triumph.
However, Connacht didn't exactly have things all their own way and hosts Zebre scored four tries of their own to secure a bonus point.
And while it wasn't enough to prevent Connacht from picking up their 10th win of this Pro12 campaign, Lam wasn't exactly popping the champagne corks come the final whistle.
"We got the outcome with the five points, but certainly there were a lot of lessons and work-ons," Lam told The Irish Times.
"We are learning as a team, and there was a lot of learnings to take from it.
"Yes, we are pretty proud of the outcome when we haven't played well, but we are not getting carried away."
