Leinster escape with a draw
Flyhalf Jayden Hayward missed a late penalty as Treviso missed the chance to win for the first time this season drawing 24-24 with Leinster.
The Italian side did however claim a bonus point with four tries against a lacklustre Leinster side, missing ten players away on international duty.
Hayward's late miss off the tee from 20 metres was a theme throughout, with neither team successfully scoring a penalty in 80 keenly-contested minutes.
Leinster's troubles began before kick-off when Luke Fitzgerald suffered an injury in the warm-up, forcing coach Matt O'Connor to draft Brendan Macken in at centre.
Meanwhile, tries from Dougie Fife, Andries Strauss and Tom Brown earned Edinburgh only their second PRO12 victory 28-13 against Cardiff since the opening day of the season.
Cardiff, in poor form themselves, were led by Adam Jones for the first time, while new arrival Gareth Anscombe was thrown straight in at full-back by Mark Hammett.
But indiscipline disrupted the visitors' rhythm as early as the third minute, with Jarrad Hoeata sent to the sin bin.
And they were made to pay four minutes later as Strauss crossed, with Tom Heathcote adding the extras.
