Lengthy lay-off for Jones

Duncan Jones has been ruled out of action for a lengthy period, after suffering a knee injury in last Friday’s Pro12 defeat to Ulster.

The prop was forced off the field early in the second half of the game.

Following further investigation physio Chris Towers says that Jones faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

“Duncan suffered damage to the medial ligament of his knee,” Towers confirmed.

“In terms of prognosis, we are looking at something around an eight week lay-off to allow him to heal and regain his strength and fitness to get back playing again.”
