Low: Glasgow is in my blood

Moray Low is the latest high-profile international player to commit his future to Glasgow Warriors, signing a two-year contract extension that will tie him to the club until at least the end of May 2014.

The tighthead prop scored a match-winning try against Edinburgh on New Year’s Day to see the Warriors claim the 1872 Cup for the fourth time in five seasons, and crossed the whitewash against Scarlets the following week, minutes before succumbing to a knee injury that his since ruled him out of action.

Low was an integral part of the team that reached the Magners League playoffs for the first time in 2010, and remains a key component of the drive to repeat that feat in this season’s Pro 12.

“I’m really pleased to have signed for another two years at Glasgow Warriors. I’ve had six great years here, and the club is in my blood now,” Low said.

“I’m really excited about what the future holds – the strength in depth and quality of our squad is improving all the time, we’re moving to a new stadium and our crowds are getting bigger.

“It’s those sorts of things that really get a player’s juices flowing, and made it a straightforward decision for me as to where I want to be going forward.

“It’s been frustrating to be on the sidelines since January, but I’ve had excellent support from the Warriors medics and physios and it’s great to come back into the fold at such an exciting stage in the campaign, with the Pro 12 playoffs very much our target.”
