Problems mount for Stormers
INJURY UPDATE: It never rains, but it pours.
And that saying perfectly sums up the Stormers’ current state.
Aside from their Rainbow Cup Round one defeat to the Sharks, the Stormers will be without the services of several key players ahead of the Bulls’ trip to Cape Town.
Flyhalf Kade Wolhuter suffered a serious ACL knee injury that requires surgery, which will certainly rule him out for the rest of the year.

Lock John Schickerling and Springboks scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies will be unavailable for selection for this weekend’s big north-south Rainbow Cup derby in Cape Town.
While @rugby365com can also report that Nama Xaba is the latest player to be added to the ever-growing injury list.
The Stormers flank, who was one of the standout performers in the opening fixture, sustained an ankle injury during Wednesday’s training session.

Aside from the injury setbacks, there are also disciplinary hearings.
No.8 Willie Engelbrecht and Sevens flyer Seabelo Senatla could face leghty bans after they were both sent off in the loss to the Sharks.
Senatla was red-carded for taking out Sharks fullback Aphelele Fassie in the air, early in the match.
Engelbrecht’s red card was the result of two yellow cards for what match officials deemed dangerous, high tackles.
Meanwhile, the Stormers have confirmed that influential centre Ruhan Nel has been released to join the Springbok Sevens training camp.
