Ulster fall to Warriors at Ravenhill

Six penalties from flyhalf Dan Parks and a late Thom Evans try was enough to help potential title-challengers Glasgow Warriors to a 25-13 win over Ulster at Ravenhill on Friday night.

The home side led 13-6 at half time having made the most of a Jon Welsh yellow card for Glasgow. The Warriors prop spent ten minutes in the bin on Friday night and during his time off the pitch the home side capitalised, scoring their only try of the match through international No.1 Tom Court.

Parks opened his account just six minutes into the match but missed with his second attempt after 12 minutes.

Ulster kicker Ian Humphreys levelled the scored after 15 minutes before, with half an hour gone, Court put Brian McLaughlin’s men well clear.

A late Parks penalty narrowed the gap to just seven points at the break.

The second half then was a frustrating affair for McLaughlin and his team. Held scoreless themselves, the Irish side conceded four penalties and a Thom Evans try in the second preiod.
