Warriors backing their depth
Ruaridh Jackson insists Glasgow Warriors have the strength in depth to stay in the Pro12 hunt as they head into the European break flying high in second.
Glasgow were in ruthless form as they comfortably put Treviso to the sword last Friday – running out 41-7 winners after notching five tries.
This victory couldn't have been better timed for Jackson and his compatriots with it coming just 24 hours after Scott Johnson named his backroom staff for Scotland's Six Nations assault.
Jackson admits this might have had something to do with their Scotstoun showing, with a number of his team-mates putting their hand up for some international involvement.
But whatever happens next month fly-half Jackson believes Glasgow have enough in reserve to keep firing on all cylinders domestically despite absent faces.
"A lot of the guys are putting their hands up at the right time," Jackson told The Herald.
"They are putting the effort in for Glasgow, which is what we're looking to do, and we know that if we do that the rewards will come.
"We want to do something special with Glasgow this year and we know we have the squad to do it.
"We've used 40 players, which shows we have the strength in depth to keep things going during the Six Nations and second place is a good place to be. We'll be looking to stay there."
