Pumitas set for Championship
Two big wins
Argentina's Under-19 side, the Pumitas, are set to take the South American Under-19 Championship yet again.
After two rounds the Pumitas have played two and won two with 164 points for and 9 against.
In their first match they beat Paraguay 128-0 while Uruguay's Teritos beat Chile 27-9.
In Round 2, the Pumitas beat the Teritos 36-9 at the Jockey Club in Rosario while Chile beat Paraguay 57-14, also at the Jockey Club.
The Pumitas certainly found the Teritos tougher opposition and were behind 6-5 at half-time. Albercio Pasadore kicked two penalties for Uruguay to a try by Antonio Ahualli De Chazal.
Albercio Pasadore increased Uruguay's lead early in the second half with his third penalty but then the home side took over with tries by Patricio Roan, who scored two, Guillermo Roan and a second by Ahualli De Chazal. Gabriel Azcarate kicked a penalty goal and converted four of the tries.
For Chile, Francisco De la Fuente, Andre Campagnaro (2), Diego Schachner (2), Aldo Merello (2), Daryll Lacey and Juan Pablo Perrota scored tries while Benjamín Omegna and Francisco González kicked conversions. For Paraguay Francisco Sarubbi and David Sosa scored tries, both converted by David Sotelo.
In the final round Uruguay play Paraguay and Argentina play Chile.
