SA U21 group invited

The national selectors have invited a large group of players to set in motion the selection of an Under-21 team to defend their IRB Under-21 World Championship title in Paris later this year.
The players invited are to undergo fitness, strength and conditioning assessment sessions in various regions.
From this group trial teams will be selected for matches in February. The team itself will be chosen after the end of the Super 14.
Eleven players who helped South Africa to the title at the 2005 IRB U21 World Championship in Argentina have been included and are still eligible to play in the 2006 tournament in Paris. They are: Hilton Lobberts, Chilliboy Ralepele, Marius Delport, Pieter Louw, Sangoli Mxoli, Nicolaai Blignaut, Cederick Mkhize, Adriaan Strauss, Werner Kruger, Frank Wagenstroom and Heinke van der Merwe.
The tests will be carried out as follows:
For the players from Free State, Griffons and Griqualand West – at the University of Free State, BOK Building, Bloemfontein at 10.00 on Monday, 30 January 2006.
For the players from the Blue Bulls, Falcons, Golden Lions, Pumas and Leopards – at Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria at 13.00 on Tuesday, 31 January 2006.
For the players from Eastern Province, South Western Districts, Border and KwaZulu Natal – at University of Port Elizabeth, Biokinetics Centre, Port Elizabeth at 10.00 on Thursday, 02 February 2006.
For the players from Boland and Western Province will take place at the SA Sports Science Institute Building, 1st Floor, Boundary Road, Newlands at 13.00 on Friday, 3 February 2006
