Scarlets move up after impressive win

MATCH REPORT: Scarlets continued their impressive form in the United Rugby Championship (URC) with a bonus-point 30-8 win over Zebre in Round Six at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.

It was an untidy first half that saw Tom Rogers and Ben Cambriani exchange tries.

Eventually, Scarlets managed to take control leading to three more tries for the home side.

The win sends Scarlets to fifth in the URC table as the break looms for the internationals.

It was a third successive win for Dwayne Peel’s side, a feat they had not achieved since February 2023, while Zebre’s wait for an away league goes back another two years.

Both sides looked dangerous as Scarlets led 11-8 heading into the break.

Zebre struggled to fire a shot as Scarlets looked comfortable in defence.

It was a job well done for Peel’s side and relief for Gatland as all eight Scarlets in his squad came through unscathed.
