Schedule for play-offs confirmed

IRB U21 World Championship 2006

Following a day of high drama at the International Rugby Board (IRB) Under 21 World Championship in France, the match schedule for the first knockout round, on 21 June, has been announced.

South Africa and Australia defeated France and New Zealand respectively in the top matches on day three.

Both New Zealand and France picked up crucial losing bonus points, which means that they join South Africa and Australia in the top four, and with it, the possibility of winning the IRB Under 21 World Championship crown.

Argentina and England, with wins on day three, finished on the same tournament points as New Zealand, but their points difference was inferior, so the best they can now finish is fifth.
