Champs await BlitzBoks in Perth
NEWS: The BlitzBoks head to Perth later this month for the HSBC World Sevens Series where they have been drawn in a tough pool.
The Springboks Sevens are in a pool that includes current champions Argentina and the hosts, Australia, for the third leg of the season.
The pool draw took place at Perth Stadium on Thursday. Australia will host the three-day tournament from January 24 to 26.
The BlitzBoks were drawn in Pool A alongside Argentina, Australia, and the USA.
South Africa won the Cape Town Sevens title, while Fiji, who leads the men’s standings, took first place in Dubai.
In January the Springbok Sevens side finished their Perth campaign on a high note by outplaying France 24-5 to finish the tournament in fifth place.
Pool B features Olympic champions France together with Spain, Great Britain, and Ireland, and Pool C will see Dubai champs Fiji face off against New Zealand, Kenya, and Uruguay.
