Bokke blitz Samoa in Glasgow
Fiji, Wales, South Africa and New Zealand all progressed to the Cup quarterfinals of the Glasgow leg of the IRB Sevens World Series.
The quartet all finished on Day One with 100 percent records.
Gordon Tietjens' New Zealand are now just one win away from claiming an 11th World Series title in 14 years.
Scotland, Portugal and Spain's failure to reach the Cup competition means they now head to London to compete with Hong Kong, Zimbabwe, Tonga, Russia and Georgia for three core team places on the 2013/14 Series.

Pool A:

Paul Treu's South Africa progressed to the Cup quarterfinals with a 100 percent record after impressively beating Samoa 27-0 in their final match with Justin Geduld scoring twice, and they will be joined by Canada after the season's leading points scorer Nathan Hirayama scored a try in the final seconds of their 21-12 victory over Kenya to guarantee their place.
Earlier, Tokyo Sevens champions South Africa narrowly defeated Kenya 17-14 in their first match before an enthralling encounter between Samoa and Canada.
Mikaele Pesamino scored Samoa's first try, but the North American side came from 17-0 down to win 19-17 thanks to tries from Jeff Hassler, Sean Duke and captain Nanyak Dala in a fascinating comeback.
Mike Friday's Kenya suffered their second defeat of day one, losing 26-0 to Samoa, while Stephan Dippenaar broke Canadian hearts with a last-minute try to give South Africa a 17-14 victory against Geraint John's side having trailed 14-7

New Zealand booked their place in the Cup quarterfinals after beating hosts Scotland 28-0 in the final match of day one.
The current Series leaders scored five tries through five different players to beat England 31-5 in their opening match as the defending champions in Glasgow, before scoring six in their victory against Portugal, including a debut try for Pita Ahki and nine points from Rocky Khan.
Scotland recorded an important win as they looked to avoid the drop zone, beating Portugal 24-5 with Colin Shaw scoring twice, before suffering a 29-7 defeat to the Auld Enemy England.
England defeated Portugal 46-0 after Mike Ellery and Marcus Watson both scored two tries in a victory that secured a place in only their second Cup quarterfinal of the season.

Fiji progressed to the Cup quarterfinals by winning all three of their matches on day one after a narrow 19-17 defeat of Australia, Samisoni Viriviri scoring the crucial try for the Pacific Islanders.
Captain Setefano Cakau had earlier scored twice in their second victory of the day as his side beat Argentina 28-10, with Los Pumas entering the Cup quarterfinals as runners-up with Gaston Revol scoring 20 points for the Argentineans in their 40-5 defeat of Spain.
Earlier, Benito Masilevu also scored twice as Fiji impressed against Spain, winning 45-0. In the opening match of the day Australia were defeated by Argentina 17-10.
Pama Fou scored twice and James Stannard contributed 17 points as Australia bounced back from their defeat to Los Pumas to inflict a second defeat on Spain, 42-14, and will compete in the Bowl on day two.

Pool D:
(France, United States, Wales, Russia)
Wales topped Pool D after winning all three of their matches, ending day one with a 28-22 win against Russia after Chris Knight scored two of their four tries.
USA beat France 21-14 to reach the Cup quarterfinals and ensured they will remain a core team on the 2013/14 World Series.
Earlier, Gareth Davies scored 12 points for Wales as they beat France 22-12, while USA scored eight tries, including a hat-trick from Nick Edwards, in an impressive 48-5 victory against Russia.
Edwards scored a further two tries in the USA's match with Wales, but James Davies denied the North American side a second victory on day one with a last-minute try to give the reigning Rugby World Cup Sevens champions a 26-21 win.
Paul Albaladejo scored a dramatic last-minute penalty drop goal to give France a 15-14 victory against Russia, after this year's Rugby World Cup Sevens hosts had led 14-12 after the buzzer had sounded.
