Uganda ready Dubai stage
The African side last played in Dubai back in 2005 and last appeared on the World Series in 2007, when they were knocked out of the Shield semifinal in George by Canada, losing 5-3.
Uganda were confirmed as the invitational side at both Dubai and Cape Town back in September after winning the Africa Sevens title. They will also play in the 2017/18 Series qualifier at the Hong Kong Sevens in April.
Head coach Tolbert Onyango named a wider 14-man squad but confirmed only 12 players would be travelling to the first two rounds.
Onyango's side will face South Africa, USA and Scotland in Pool B.
